He takes a major role in Battalion Wars, being one of the main COs along with General Herman and Brigadier Betty.

He takes a more relaxed role in Battalion Wars II, where he only appears in online matches, and is not mentioned in the single player campaign.

Trivia

In the early stages of the Game's development, the character that was going to be Colonel Austin was originally a Brown-Haired Caucasian. In the final stages, he was changed to be a black-haired (but mostly bald) African.
